Woodstock Remembered

A lot is going on this week. Elvis, the Olympics, the disappointing and ever present political mudslinging of an election year. But one news item you might have missed. Thirty five years ago today Woodstock ended. Half a million people coming together to enjoy the music that defined a generation.

No, I wasn't there. I wish I had been. Elvis wasn't there either. He never understood the kids or that music. He may have been the King of rock n roll, but something happened on Max Yasgur's farm that showed us its heart.

I wasn't at Woodstock, I was a shy mixed up kid of 14 at the time, so today I did the next best thing. I bought the DVD. Isn't technology wonderful? I wonder if the Fish cheer still holds up today.

Peace, Love
